One of the most common complaints from the people learning French is that it all sounds "onh onh onh onh" like my students like to say.
Pourquoi????
Because unlike the British, French speakers don't clip their words. They tend to flow, there is always a sound going out.
Comment????
How do we do it??? We do the liaisons, or we link words together...
Your article on French language is awesome. children can easily learn French language from their parents. In that case kids can learn French using flashcards and they will have good command in future for their native French language .
ReplyDeleteStill, I think it is a bit of hard work: a child will understand his/her parents native language but will not necessarily will want to speak it. Let face it, it's an effort, they will have to memorise a full new set of vocabulary and grammatical rules.
ReplyDeleteMy solution: Daughter, if you want to eat, ask it in French!
